Those of you who have been reading the new blog for the last week and a few days that it's been in existence might have noticed "categories." What this means is that most posts will be catagorized as I know there are certain people (family mostly) that only come out here to see new photos of the Little Imp or read my rants and raves. Speaking of the Little Imp, for the most part, all of her photos are going to be in albums to the left, in that sidebar. However from time to time if there are a lot, I'll put a teaser out here with a link to the album in which that photo and other new ones can be found. I'm hoping this eases page loading times that a lot of people were complaining about with the old blog.
We also have other categories such as "Domestic Disasters" (Beef Bombs, ect), "Parenting", "Politics", "Oops She Does It Again", (the eyelash incident) and so on and so forth. I've done things this way because eventually I want the blog to morph into more than just a run down of the day to day minutia of our lives, heavily laden with photos of the Little Imp. I want to delve into politics, parenting issues (I want to get into this in a HUGE way as one issue in particular has affected our family and myself to a great extent lately - and it's a very controversial one at that!), religion and many other topics and I'd like to be able to have guest authors as well who are also interested in probing these topics with me and exchanging a dialogue (I'll go so far as to say "debate") with me, or the readers.
Natually there are going to be readers that are more interested in one subject over the other so it will be easier to just click on a category and then all the posts under that category will appear. However, being that the blog is not even two weeks old yet, the categories are pretty sparce right now.
And whilst I'm on the subject of sparcity, I myself might be a limited commodity in the next two and a bit weeks. We're welcoming my youngest son Zack to our home and will be leaving for Seattle next Friday to bring him back with us, so we're going to be feverishly getting ready for a full-time teenage boy in the house and all that entails. So, bear with us as we do some housekeeping not only with the blog, but with our physical abode as well.
On that note I'm off to get some things done around here.
