There are some lyrics that I really like, having to do with the subject of 'time' by British band, Muse...
"Don't waste your time or time will waste you."
Not that I've been wasting time, but sheesh, I sure as heck feel wasted. I'm totally knackered, shagged, exhausted...you name it, if it has to do with being absolutely tired and worn out, I'm it!
And worst of all, I have a horrid confession to make....
I totally forgot that Sunday was Father's Day. So, did my Daddy get a phone call, let alone a card, or anything? Nope and I feel just wretched about it. I'm making it up to Gareth as we speak. Saturday was absolute madness and then Sunday we were running around, packing and trying to recoup some energy from Saturday's events at Family Fun Day.
Anyhow, I'm lame, yes, I admit it....I embrace it. I'll call my Dad tonight and wish him a belated but none-the-less heartfelt Happy Father's Day and put a package of goodies together for him that I've been meaning to. Still though, I can't believe I forgot.
Cape Elizabeth Family Fun Day; the Aftermath of My Photography Exhibit
Well, I didn't sell anything, but from everything I'm hearing, my photographs were a hit and I have some special orders. I think I mentioned in the last post that no one really sells anything and it's more of a chance to get your name/craft out there, which I did...in spades. I'll post the photographs I had on display, a bit later tonight.
Oh drat...I hadn't realized the time but to tide my mom over - she asked me to post something to the blog because she was tiring of the SSDD - Same Stuff, Different Day, I will post a few from CEFFD and then come back out later after the Little Imp's bath and post more. I have loads of pics from the last week of the Imp and Zack too...CUTE ONES!
Until then, chew on these for a while!
My booth at CEFFD...
I was not very well prepared and we are now looking at professional display racks as well as business cards, ect. And whilst I wasn't as prepared as I should have been, it didn't stop people from coming in droves to look, and ask about the photographs.
Here are the booths that were to the left of me. Rose Keneally, one of the most talented watercolour medium artists I have ever seen, was the women who organized the artisans portion of CEFFD and invited me to join. Her booth is what I'm aspiring to...
Daddy and Gaby watching the parade...
The parade consisted of just about every local group here in Cape. I think I got some good shots of Cape's 1930's original fire engine that I'll post later. The BEST part of CEFFD though was, well always is, Fun in the Foam which the fire department sponsors and puts on. I got some absolutely great shots of that and once the Little Imp is down for the night I will come back out and post those.
For now though I hear giggles and squeals of delight coming from upstairs along with splashing water which can only mean that Gaby has jumped into the tub and commenced drenching daddy. So I'd better get upstairs and rescue him before he drowns.
One last one to tide Grammie W. over until I can come back out and post some more recent photos...
Gaby, Tim and newfies Ellie and Pilot at the Spring Fling down in Westford, MA that we went to the weekend before last. Gaby just adores the "newmie pup pups" as she calls them! And yes, those two are just puppies! We can't wait to get ours, sometime in late July or early August.
