So, the weather dudes say it's coming, but the winds haven't gotten here yet, however, there's going to be a massive storm surge and those eventual winds that aren't here yet, well the happy dudes that live in my TV and are mostly wrong about the weather, well they say the winds will be strong enough to knock down powerlines. Yipee! An expensive generator sits out in the garage, doing jack shit for us in the event that we lose power, because...well we don't know why. It just doesn't work right now. So if worse comes to worst, we're going to be playing the 2008 edition of the Little House on the Prairie board game. Maybe the hubby will let me be Half-Pint this time around.
So what am I doing? Well, I'm baking cookies and looking out the window at the deluge of rain we're getting. I also kinda figured, until the wind hits, I'm just gonna live-blog this bad boy.
Oh, we did have a little excitement here earlier. Markers were involved. Yes, I got pictures. You'll have to stay tuned to see what that's all about!
Oe'er, timer just went off! Another batch of homemade shortbread cookies is ready to come out of the oven! And look what I'm putting on top of some of them...
Well luvlies, it might very well get to where we have no power, but by damned, we'll have homemade cookies and cherry pie as well! I forgot that I made one of those earlier in the day too!
