The past couple of days since Megawatt and I have returned from BlogFest down in VA, have been something out of a nightmare. I was both elated and exhausted to begin with and still a little weepy just thinking about the beautiful people I met and how I feel like I left a little piece of my heart down there, but also feeling worn to the bone because the Little Imp has been sick...as in seriously ill.
The minute she got home Monday afternoon from Montessori and rushed into my arms, I knew something wasn't right. For one thing she was hot to the touch and then she started to cough. The obvious fever was concerning, but the cough had me well and truly alarmed.
My normally ebullient, chatty, curly-haired Imp...
These three have scarcely left her side since she became ill. Some people have guardian angels, and while Imp has one of those - his name is Joshua, she also has "Guardian Kitties"... Godiva sniffs Imp's forehead several times throughout the day. No one can tell me that cats are not every bit as intuitive as dogs!
Thankfully the Little Imp is on the mend now. She was diagnosed with a serious case of Bronchitis but it looks like the antibiotics are finally kicking in as her fever broke earlier this afternoon.
So, while I sort out all of my feelings and try to get my emotions in order, I'm going to close my mouth and share some of the images from my time spent in Mathews, VA. Oh and before I forget, for a wonderful glimpse of what this trip meant to Megawatt, please visit her blog and read about her take on BlogFest. I'm so glad she joined me on this trip and that she came back with the feeling it was Time Not Wasted.
For now, less words, more photos...
