I am hopeful that most of you who still read the pithy little things I write, assumed I'd eventually be back when I wasn't busy cuddling that adorable baby granddaughter of mine? I thought that perhaps I might be able to sneak in a blog post while Meg and Kennedy were stateside, here with us, but ya know something? Those 10 wee days, well they just flew by and I spent every possible moment inhaling that gorgeous baby girl and her mommy!
As far as how the surprise went - where Meg surprised Gaby at school, we did actually manage to pull it off! Three different news stations covered the story and Gaby was completely in shock. I don't think she recognized Meg right off the bat. Gaby was completely overwhelmed. I need to give a huge THANK YOU to Diane McIver (the Principal at Gaby's school) and the folks from our local school district for helping me pull this off, as well as all of the news crews for their help in working with us so that we could share this surprise with family and friends who were not able to be there.

Gaby only let Meg out of her site long enough for her big sister to take a quick weekend trip to Maine to visit friends from college, in particular, the Three Musketeers reunited!
Lucky for Meg, Gaby had a niece to dote on and play with that weekend!
And play and dote we did. All the time.
We celebrated Meg's 22nd Birthday at Cheesecake Factory ...
Yes indeed, I introduced Meg to my beloved Peach Bellini!
Kennedy wasted no time at all wrapping Granpapa around her little finger. Several times over.
Gaby changed her first, and quite possibly last diaper!
And there were photos, lots and lots of photos...
